Steven
Steven grew up with Rhett in Myrtle Beach and have been best friends since they were five years old. At sixteen, he got his first job working at a steakhouse/buffet. He was lucky enough to be thrown head first into the life of a line cook, where he instantly fell in love with the camaraderie and lifestyle of a cook. Due to his competitive nature, he challenged himself in his career as an aspiring chef and acquired a position working at Sea Island Hotel under the instruction of Chef Sammy Diminich. His experience there and association with Rhett led him to continue his education in the culinary arts at Johnson and Wales. He began honing his skills in the industry by working under Chef Frank McMahon at Hanks Seafood Restaurant in downtown Charleston for five years.
Steven’s infectious sense of humor and upbeat personality create an enjoyable atmosphere for Savory’s staff and guests alike. His culinary creativity knows no bounds, and he sure does make a mean brownie roll!
